The 4-Hour Month

CaseyFor a month (Maybe more? Hopefully more) I’m going to experiment with the things Tim Ferriss talks about in his books, his blog, his podcast and just anything that seems fun. I’ve messed around with a lot of it already. I shrunk myself to a more appealing size in 2012 using the slow-carb diet. I had a muse idea for years and never done a thing until late 2014 when I finally went through with testing. I learnt to cook enough to get excited about making my own food.

But I’ve never actually reached my goals. I’m still not happy with the way I look, I still trade my time for an hourly wage, I’d love to be a better cook and I want to experience as much as I can and give all the things I’ve ever wanted to do at least a try. So here’s what I’m going to do…

  • Get rid of fat and add muscle. Basically I want to look like Captain America.
  • Build a business/muse/automated cashflow to replace that hourly wage.
  • Practice philosophy. 
  • Cram learning into week-long bursts to get started and find what I really love. DJ? Drawing? Playing piano? Skateboarding? German?

I’m already playing around with a few of the tools and ideas.
I’ve been eating slow carb again for two weeks (Today is cheat day!),I’m using Lift ( to make habits stick, I’ve got a nice little morning routine worked out that includes meditation, journalling, tea and a protein filled breakfast and there’s god knows how much else going on.

I hope this first month is going to set me up so I can surpass these goals and get a life that I’m actuallyexcited about living every day.
